About Us

This web site has been created by:

Steve Last and Howard Robinson of Enviros Consulting, in collaboration with other UK waste management professionals.

Steve Last & Howard Robinson also created and maintain “The Leachate Web Site”, and a web site which provides information about treatment which removes dissolved methane from otherwise untreated leachate, to enable its safe discharge to the public sewer.

Howard Robinson has previously been involved in BAT (Best Available Technique) guidance work for the UK Environment Agency, including involvement with the authoring of the Pre-Consultation Guidance here.

Details of other collaborators and authors: To be added.

Intrigued by the image at the head of each page? The picture is a view of the Foxhall II landfill (capped area) where irrigation of a very dilute leachate is taking place. All irrigated flows arrive atEnviros-logo the perimeter trench (RHS), and drain to a common collection sump for the whole of the capped area. Water quality is monitored and returned for further irrigation if ammoniacal nitrogen exceeds a threshold concentration. Our paper is available here.
